JOB SUMMARY
SCOPE
❖ Starts the sponsorship activities after consultation with Orphans and Child Welfare Officer in Turkey.
❖ Supports on the sustainable and manageable expansion of the orphans’ programs within the agreed regions.
❖ Assists to prepare all progress reports of the Orphans Welfare Program and shares with partners as per the agreed process and deadlines.
❖ Puts the plans of orphan’s home visits.
❖ Visits the orphans in their homes in order to supervise any changes in their social life.
❖ Uploads orphans’ bio-data online for sponsorship.
❖ Prepares and Uploads orphans’ progress report online.
❖ Assists in maintaining a computerized database of orphan’s related information.
❖ Assists in sponsorship and other aids discursion to the Orphans.
❖ Assists in designing and implementing Program activities.
❖ Writes Orphans Case Studies to support in the marketing and fundraising for the OSP.
❖ Maintain orphan’s files and documentation, with key documentation according to IRW policies.
❖ Performs any other duties as and when required by the management.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
❖ Any university degree but preferably post graduate degree in development studies, social sciences, psychology and business management degree or relevant qualification is desirable.
❖ Female is required.
❖ It is important that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the Islamic Values and Principles. A commitment to IRW’s Vision, Mission and values is also essential.
❖ Proven ability and experience in people and activity management as well as delegating roles and authority in a way in which enables teams to reach their targets/objectives.
❖ Previous work experience, ideally with non-governmental organizations as well as in orphans/children activities, would be an advantage.
❖ Ability to respond to a dynamic and changing environment.
❖ Ability to travel inside Syria when required.
❖ Work beyond working hours to meet deadlines when required.
❖ The geographical knowledge of Syria is highly preferable.
Language
❖ Fluent written and spoken Arabic is required; a working knowledge of English is highly preferable.
IT skills
· Very Good computer skills.
· Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting. (Excel and word are a must)
