Overall Responsibility:
Orphans and Child Welfare Trainee is responsible for the smooth and successful implementation of One-to-One Program in IR Turkey in cooperation with Orphans and Child Welfare Officer.
KEY ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist the department and start the sponsorship activities after consultation with Orphans and Child Welfare Assistant
- Support Orphans and Child Welfare Officer on the sustainable and manageable expansion of the orphans’ programs within the agreed regions.
- Assist Orphans and Child Welfare Officer to prepare all progress reports of the Orphans Welfare Program.
- Assist Orphans and Child Welfare to develop a plan of orphan’s home visits. Visiting the orphans in their homes in order to supervise any changes in their social life.
- Responsible in uploading orphans’ bio-data online for sponsorship.
- Prepare and Upload orphans’ progress report online.
- Assists the Orphans and Child Welfare officer in maintaining a computerized database of orphan’s related information.
- Assists the Orphans and Child Welfare officer in sponsorship disbursing and other aids to the Orphans.
- Assists the Orphans and Child Welfare officer in designing and implementing Program activities in Country.
- Responsible to Maintain orphan’s files and documentation, with key documentation according to IRW policies.
- Performs any other duties as and when required by the management.
REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the Islamic Values and Principles. A commitment to IRW’s Vision, Mission and values is also essential.
- Has a postgraduate degree or is still a student at the university in development studies /social sciences/psychology or relevant qualification is desirable. A business management degree is also desirable
- Fluent written and spoken Arabic is required; a working knowledge of English is highly preferable.
- Proven ability and experience in people and activity management as well as delegating roles and authority in a way in which enables teams to reach their targets/objectives.
- Previous work experience, ideally with non-governmental organizations as well as in orphans/children activities, would be an advantage.
- Proven experience of developing and implementing strategies and work plans which help to deliver the wider organisational objectives.
- Ability to respond to a dynamic and changing environment.
- Ability to guide staff development towards achieving key performance indicators and delivering development activities which assist the organisation in achieving its targets.
- Sound communication skills which delivers complex information persuasively and with clarity.
- Demonstrates the flexibility and energy that is required for a high level of self-management and awareness and willing to travel and work beyond working hours to meet deadlines when required: a working geographical knowledge of Istanbul is highly preferable.
