The Programme Officer reports to the programme coordinator and s/he will be responsible for preparing concept notes, proposals, following projects activities, and reporting the overall projects details including in progress, interim and final reports and also support the programme department in other programme related tasks. . The Programme Officer must work in compliance with Islamic Relief policies and procedures.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directly manage projects activities from beginning to end
• Develop project work plan and ensure its timely completion, alert senior management of any deviations
• To manage the related needs assessment, monitoring and evaluation for the ongoing projects.
• Track project milestones and deliverables
• Implement organizational policies and procedures
• Develop and deliver progress reports, documentation, and presentations
• Manage administrative and budgetary aspects of the project implementation
• Organize projects events
• Conduct projects related research tasks
• Maintain communication and correspondence with partners, and beneficiaries
• To coordinate with local and international partners (NGOs and other official agencies working with IR in Turkey)
• To introduce IR policies to local partners and beneficiaries and prepare partnership agreements
• To provide direction and management to local partners for implementing work plans
• To follow up the implementation of the projects by local partners
• To participate in developing new project ideas in all sectors including drafting concept papers and writing full proposals
• To maintain a record keeping system of all projects documents
• To prepare progress, interim and final reports
• To carry out other responsibilities and duties as requested by the line manager

• University degree from an accredited University in business administration/social sciences/economics or related speciality or relevant field experience
• Previous experience with the UN and/or NGOs in a similar position
• Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting. (Strong Excel and Word skills a must)
• English & Arabic (written and spoken) is a must, Turkish skills a plus
• Must have cultural sensitivity and the ability to work in a multi-cultural team
