Islamic Relief has been able to provide 26,000 families with dates in a food distribution supported by Sheikh Abdullah Al Nouri Charity.

Dates have high nutritional value and are especially good for malnourished children who cannot access healthy food because of poverty orongoing crisis.

Islamic Relief distributed food parcels, baby items and hygiene kits as an emergency response to the increasing number of internally displaced and besieged people in Syria. This specific intervention supplied 10,000 boxes of dates, an important addition to our regular food security projects that focus on reducing malnutrition among people who have been forced to leave their homes.
